Fem Foundation Iron Planning Service
If your provider has referred you, the Iron Planning Service takes it from here. We verify your insurance, find coverage or funding, coordinate with your provider and get your infusion scheduled. You do not chase anyone. We do.
Enrollment takes about two minutes
Name, date of birth and email only
Navigation begins when you submit

We find out what your plan covers, what it will not, and what the prior-authorization route is. Before you have to ask.
Where your plan falls short, we look for funding, including the Foundation's own treatment fund, so cost is not the reason you go untreated.
We work with your provider and the infusion center on orders, timing and location, and we get it on the calendar.
Regular updates through your patient portal, so you always know where your case stands and what happens next.
How it works
YOUR STEP
During your visit, your provider texts you the enrollment link. It comes from the Fem Foundation.
YOUR STEP
You enroll
Name, date of birth and email. About two minutes. Nothing starts until this is done.
OUR STEP
A navigator opens your case and starts with your insurance. You will get a confirmation email straight away.
OUR STEP
Your navigator sends updates by patient portal message. You do not need to call. If you have not heard from us within 72 hours, use the contact details below.
OUR STEP
We coordinate the orders, the location and the date, and we stay with you until it happens.
How we stay in touch
Portal messages first
Your navigator communicates through your patient portal. It keeps your whole case in one place, and it is faster than voicemail.
You do not need to call
Enrolling opens your case. A navigator will reach out to you. Calling first will not move your case faster.
72 hours
If you have enrolled and heard nothing after 72 hours, contact the service directly using the details on the right.
Regular updates
Your navigator keeps you posted as your case moves, including when it is waiting on your insurer.
Iron Planning Service contact
This inbox goes straight to the iron navigation team. It is separate from any clinic or consult line.
Contacting the service for iron navigation only. To donate or join the Foundation, use the Join page.
What to know before you enroll
01
Enrolling does not guarantee an infusion. Every case is subject to insurance verification, and we will tell you what we find as soon as we know.
02
The service is free to you. It is funded by Fem Foundation donors so that cost is never the reason a woman goes untreated.
03
If you live outside Florida, we will tell you plainly what we can arrange where you are, and what we cannot.
04
If you decide not to enroll, your provider will give you your orders so you can arrange treatment on your own. Your case with the service stays closed unless you enroll later.
Questions
Is this the same as my clinic?
No. The Iron Planning Service is run by the Fem Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It has its own team and email, and its own website. Your clinical care stays with your provider.
What if my insurance says no?
That is what the service is for. We pursue prior authorization, appeals and alternative coverage, and where the plan falls short we look for funding.
Can I enroll a family member?
Only if their provider has referred them. Enrollment follows a referral so that we can coordinate with the right clinical team.
What do you do with my date of birth?
It lets your navigator match your enrollment to the referral your provider sent, so nothing is missed and nothing is duplicated. It is not used for anything else.
How long does it take?
It depends on your insurer. What we can promise is that you will not be the one waiting on hold, and that you will know where your case stands.

Two minutes now. A navigator on your case after that.
